Home bred apistogramma panduro
Care
Before adding these fish into an aquarium, the tank should have soft, acidic water and be biologically developed with lots of hiding spots, and dense plant growth. Although Apistogramma panduro are usually peaceful, during breeding they can become somewhat agressive. Maintain one pair of fish or, in bigger aquariums, one male with multiple females (forming a harem). There should be numerous visual obstacles inside the tank to reduce agression. Suckermouth catfish, pencilfish, hatchetfish, and corydoras make excellent tankmates.
Feeding
Flake, micropellets, small frozen foods such as bloodworm, mosquito larvae, brineshrimp and daphnia.
